We currently do not have any historical images of Chorley Independent Methodist Church in our archives.  If you have any photographs that we could use, please contact our Archivist at the Registered Office address.  Thank you

This is how the church looks today.

This Independent Methodist Church is situated on Lyons Lane in Chorley.  It started as a temperance society in 1886.  In 1888 they moved to a new hall built by them in Hill Street.  Their numbers grew, and so it was decided to build a school and chapel in Lyons Lane which opened on 12 November 1898.

In the archives, we hold the following items from this church:

  • Printed History: (Centenary History, 1998, Caroline Sephton)
