Scripture Union – Light Parties 2019
Does your church wonder what to do for children and young people at Halloween? Light Parties are a Christian alternative for Halloween and a great way of reaching out to your community with the good news of Jesus.
Scripture Union’s Light Party Pack is designed to help your church or organisation run a Light Party for children and young people in your community. Full of ideas for games, crafts and ways to talk with children and young people about the good news of Jesus, it’s a must have this Halloween!

The Easter Journey
The Easter Journey is a workshop designed for children in Key Stage 2. Just before Easter, the children will take part in an interactive journey to discover the events that happened during the week of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Through role-play, storytelling and listening they experience the story of Easter in an immersive and exciting way!
A team from Blackpool Schools & Youth Work (BSYW) will be here to tell us how they run these workshops at Christmas and Easter for schools within the Blackpool area, and show us how easy it is to do it in our communities too.
Date: Thursday 26th September, 3 – 5pm
Location: The Resource Centre, Fleet Street, Wigan, WN5 0DS
For further information, please email Claire Hughes (Schools Worker).

Playtime National Conference 2019
As toddler group leaders so much of our time is spent investing in others, thinking up creative ideas and trying to keep the momentum going. But giving so much of our time and energy can mean we don’t always get a chance to take a breather and reflect on what we’re doing.
The Playtime National Conference gives us that chance to take a step back, gather together and dream big for the year ahead.
This year Care for the Family are excited to be bringing the conference to Wigan on Saturday 28 September. So join with hundreds of other toddler group leaders and helpers, and let’s gather momentum and continue making a difference in our communities.
Church Support has a number of tickets available at the reduced rate, please contact Lisa, Marilyn or Claire for more information.
